10 Celebrities You’d Want as Your Study Buddy

Studying can be a major pain. This is especially true when you’re stuck in a group with people that know next to nothing about the subject, lack passion for learning, never show up, or even worse – are all of the above. That’s why in a perfect world your new study buddies would not only be genius’ but some of the coolest famous faces out there. That’s why we’ve come up with ten of the smartest people in Hollywood to choose from when it comes to your study group dream team.

10. Sharon Stone

One of the leading ladies of the ‘90s, Stone is known for her instincts that are basic but when it comes to her IQ, it’s more that average. She has a whopping 154 and that landed her a scholarship to Edinboro University of Pennsylvania before she could even drive. A few years later she headed there and studied creative writing as well as fine arts.

9. David Duchovny

The X-Files star and sex addict both on and off screen knows his way not only around hit TV series, but the books too. He’s a Princeton grad and a Master’s Degree from Yale. He would’ve had a Ph.D. but left school after he landed his first acting gig in a commercial in the late ‘80s. While he may’ve missed on on being Dr. Duchovny, we can’t say he’s not doing well in life.

8. Kate Beckinsale

She’s regarded as one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood but she’s more than a pretty face. She was reading at a fifth grade level when she was merely six-years-old. The Underworld actress studied at Oxford and now speaks four languages fluently. So if you needed help with English, French, Russian or German – she’d be your girl.

7. Cindy Crawford

Speaking of pretty faces…Cindy was one of the original supermodels back in the mid-80’s. She’s graced the pages of every magazine under the sun, but before she was a centerfold for high-fashion, she was hitting the books. Not only was she valedictorian in high school, but she got a scholarship to Northwestern University. Unfortunately for them, she decided to head towards modeling instead and gave up the scholarship.

6. John Krasinski

The Office cutie isn’t just one of the best looking men in Hollywood. Nor is he one of the funniest. He’s also one of the smartest. Before heading to Brown, he taught in Costa Rica. Then while in school he took an internship at The Late Show with Conan O’Brien and the rest is history.

5. Mindy Kaling

She’s not only another Office alum, but she too interned at Conan. Before all that and her hit Fox, now Hulu, series she was attending Dartmouth College and majoring in theater. That’s where she won an Eleanor Frost Playwriting Award.

4. Conan O’Brien

All this talk of him, we got to toss him in. While he’s often silly on screen, he’s a Harvard grad who didn’t just finish there, but graduated magna cum laude. How did he do that? Well majoring in history and literature and doing a 72-page thesis his senior year titled, “The ‘Old Child’ in Faulkner and O’Connor.”

3. Natalie Portman

The Oscar winner is the only one Harvard alum with the high acting honor. It could’ve been easy for Portman to be just another child actor gone wrong, but man oh man did she go all too right. She has been in Oscar winning films, pop culture staples like Star Wars and in between managed to publish not one but two scientific journals.

2. Mayim Bialik

Another child actor who found their way to adult fame in the best way is this Big Bang actress. She didn’t stay in the spotlight after Blossom, but took some time to live the normal life. A life that included studying neuroscience at UCLA – so yes, she knows what she’s talking about on the hit CBS series.

1. Flavor Flav

YES. Who would’ve guessed that if you were having trouble in music that this would be the guy to turn to? No one, absolutely no one. It’s true though. The hype man turned reality star actually learned to play 15 instruments by ear when he was a kid.
